Book Club Discussion Group

The next book club discussion group will take place on Saturday, February 4, at Kirkmont.  The book is Princess Kaiulani - Hope of a Nation, Heart of a People by Sharon Linnea.  This rich pictorial biography tells the fascinating - and a little-known - story of Princess Kaiulani's life and courageous fight for Hawaiian independence.  Using many newly translated journals and letters, Sharon Linnea introduces readers to the most beloved figure in Hawaiian history, one of America's most overlooked Christian heroines.

Gospel Mission Work Day

The Gospel Mission operates a comprehensive inner-city mission near downtown Dayton, Ohio.  IT is open to men and women, young and old, of any race, belief, or circumstance.  The program begins with the necessities such as 80,000 nutritionally balanced meals served per year.  But the focus is to break the cycle of shattered relationships and alienation.  The Gospel Missio also operates a horse camp outside of Xenia called Camp Jabez.  Please mark your calendar and sign up to help us at the Gospel Mission on March 10.  If you have any questions, please contact June at 426-8471.
